Correctional center holds quarterly blood drive, collects 44 units in two days

LOVELOCK - The Lovelock correctional center held its quarterly blood drive March 19-20. United Blood Services is calling LCC officers, staff and members of the public heroes for donating blood. A total of 44 units of blood were collected during the drive.

United Blood Services presented the prison with "Heroes Wear Band-Aids" T-shirts for those who donated blood. As a further incentive, there was a raffle for those who donated blood. Raffle tickets were drawn after the drive. Chris Wenzel won Aces tickets; Kristy Fonoimoana won Wild Island tickets; Paula Salgado won Harrahs Automobile Museum tickets; Kelly Roam won a stay at the Atlantis and Teresa Widmar and Kurt Feil both won gas cards.
