I don't know what is happening to our society when common sense is not apparent anymore.
It seems that common sense would tell us that when driving our motor vehicle, we need to be alert and not distracted by anything. It is hard for me to believe that we now need the state of Nevada to tell us that it is against the law to talk on our cell phone and text while driving (seriously?)
I've been driving for 55 years and yes, I have a cell phone. I've never had a citation, ticket, accident or warning of any kind. My cell phone is with me in the car, but never touched while I'm driving. I use it only when parked or at my final destination.
I didn't need a law to tell me this. When driving with a passenger, I never look at the passenger as it is distracting. Driving takes my full attention? Come on people, use your common sense.
Accidents can and do happen, but not as likely if we use all our instincts and ability when driving and have nothing distracting us.
