WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County Commissioners will be holding their regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 17 at 9:30 a.m. in the meeting room of the courthouse.
Public comment will follow the call to order and Pledge of Allegiance.
Items on the agenda include a request from the sheriff's office at 9:45 a.m. for a waiver to the attrition policy for a vacancy in the patrol division and a request to allocate budgeted money from detention to dispatch to start the E-911 project.
At 10:05 a.m., commissioners will hear a request from the assessor for approval to purchase a new phone system and have it installed by Affordable Communications of Henderson and authorize the chairman to sign the agreement. Planning matters is set for 10:20 a.m., in which commissioners will set to public hearing PH-11-02, a zone change request submitted by Robert and Tammie Quilici to rezone property from RR-13 MH (Rural Ranchette 13,000 square foot minimum lot size with a mobile home overlay) to R-3 (Multiple - Family Residential). Subject property is located at 4205 and 42051/2 Center Street; assessor's parcel numbers 10-361-20 and 10-361-29.
At 10:30 a.m. nuisance complaints for properties at 150 Mansell Street in Golconda and 135 E. Fifth Street in Golconda will be set to public hearing.
Road matters will be held at 10:45 a.m.
At 11 a.m., commissioners will hear a presentation from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service related to the draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Impact Statement related to the Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge. At 11:30 commissioners will make appointments to the Local Emergency Planning Commission.
At 11:40 a.m., commissioners will hear a request from the administrator to be excused from the Nov. 7 commission meeting. Public comment will follow.
