Commissioners meet Monday, September 16th at 9:30am

Land for trap range and Kings River Valley mine among agenda items

WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County Board of Commissioners will meet this coming Monday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Among the administrative matters is renewal of a lease with Union Pacific Railroad for the communication site on Winnemucca Mountain.

The following items are on the agenda:

• 9:45 a.m. - Commissioners will consider hiring a surveyor and appraiser in an effort to obtain land next to the trap range.

•10 a.m. - Consideration of a memorandum of understanding with the BLM in regards to the development of the environmental assessment for the proposed Kings River Valley Clay Mine project.

•10:15 a.m. - Review and possible approval of the lease of county property to Ruby Radio.

•10:30 a.m. - Update from Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) on their "Home at Last" and other NRHA programs.

•10:45 a.m. - Discussion and possible action on repayment of a loan due this December from the county to the McDermitt Fire Protection District.

At 11 a.m. commissioners will take up road matters, including Savage Drive access and pending road department projects.
