Commission to meet on Monday

WINNEMUCCA — The Humboldt County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in courthouse meeting room #201.

The correction and approval of July 11 meeting minutes follows the call to order, Pledge of Allegiance and public comment.

The administrative report follows at 9:35 a.m. Consent agenda items include possible approval of quarterly CDBG reports, a request for adjustments to the Humboldt County Real Property Tax Roll and a Community Development Block Notice of Grant Award and county certification letter for the Senior Center expansion design. That will be followed by solid waste matters, public lands planning matters, miscellaneous reports and correspondence and claims for expenditures of county funds.

Commissioners will hear a request from the sheriff’s office at 9:45 a.m. for approval for the purchase of a RIMS (Record/Information Management System) for dispatch. That will be followed at 10 a.m. by an appointment to the Wildlife Advisory Board.

At 10:15 a.m. commissioners will hear a request from the District Attorney’s Office for a waiver to the attrition policy as it relates to a deputy district attorney position which is currently vacant. That will be followed at 10:30 a.m. by the review and possible approval of a contract with the Department of Health and Human Services for long-term care.

At 10:45 a.m. commissioners will hear a request from the Building and Safety Department for approval of attendance at an out-of-state training session. That will be followed at 11 a.m. by the review and possible approval of NDOT FY 2012-2021 Transportation System Projects (TSP) and matters related thereto.

Road matters are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Commissioners will set to public hearing the  acceptance of Brayton Road into the county-maintained system and get reports of pending Road Department projects and miscellaneous road-related matters.

At 1:30 p.m. commissioners will hear a request from the Nevada Rural Housing for Humboldt County’s unused Private Activity Bond allocation for 2011 and adoption of a resolution related thereto.

Planning matters are scheduled for 1:45 p.m. First up is VH-10-06. This is a time extension request for a previously approved medical hardship application submitted by Donald Lykke requesting permission to continue to reside in an existing RV until construction of his permanent dwelling is complete. The subject property is located at 3635 Brown Lane; assessor’s parcel #013-553-17.

Also scheduled is final map approval for a division of land into large parcels submitted by Desert Mountain Surveying on behalf of Finance All, LLC. This would divide property into 15 lots of approximately: 1 at 41.06+-acres; 1 at 41.14+-acres; 1 at 41.21+- acres;1 at 41.29+-acres; 1 at 40.98 +- acres; 1 at 41.06+- acres; 1 at 41.13 +- acres; 1 at 40.83+- acres; 1 at 40.90+-acres; 1 at 40.98+- acres; 1 at 40.67+- acres; 1 at 40.59+- acres; 1 at 40.74+- acres; 1 at 40.82+- acres; and 1 at 81.66+- acres. The site is located approximately 1.5+- miles north of Jungo Road, Section 35 T37N, R35E, MDB&M in Humboldt County. Assessor’s Parcel # 05-281-35.

Commissioners will then review updated Master Plan Map designations.
