Clyde Harvey Allen, 64, of Kings River, Nev., passed away on Nov. 1, 2014, at his home.
Clyde was born on Jan. 10, 1950, in Murray, Utah, to Emery and Leone Allen. He lived in Draper, Utah, until he was six years old then in Lehi, Utah, until he was 12. The family made their final move to Monteview, Idaho, where he graduated from West Jefferson High School. He then attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.
Clyde married Rodlynn "Roddy" Chase in 1970 and they moved to Kings River, Nev., to pursue his dream of farming and owning his own land. Clyde and Roddy had three children, Shawn, Krista and Jeremy. He later married Rosa Ochoa who brought with her a daughter named Naysely. With the help of his children Krista, Jeremy and various other devoted employees he was able to successfully farm his 1,000 acres for 40 years.
Clyde is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Smiley Kalkoske, of Winnemucca, son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Diana Allen, of Kings River, and stepdaughter and son-in-law Nasyeley and Hugo Solis, grandchildren Dylan, Reece, and Ashton Kalkoske, Cody and Colton Allen, Isaac and Sebatian Solis, his mother, Leone Allen, sisters Linda Dawes and Wanda Covington, brothers Wayne, Gary, John and Bert Allen. Clyde is preceded in death by his son Shawn and father Emery.
Clyde was loved by many people and will be greatly missed. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Kings River Community Hall. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Clyde's name may do so to the Kings River Community Club.[[In-content Ad]]
