Class celebrates the beginning of the end

LOVELOCK - Pershing County High School Class of 2014 gathered together at Joe Yanni Field to celebrate the beginning of the end on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 6:30 a.m.

Helping them celebrate was the Lovelock's Lions Club, who served the students pancakes, sausage, eggs and bottle juices.

Lion Club member Jim Hamilton donated the food, Eddie from Chevron donated the propane, and members Bruce Luke, Jim Rowe, Doug McLean, Jim Hamilton, Roger Mancebo, and Paul Echeverria were busy manning the grills.

Their class adviser Valdine McLean provided hot chocolate. The "sunrise and sunset" gatherings at the beginning and end of each year have become a recent tradition at Pershing County High School that commenced with the class of 2009.[[In-content Ad]]
