Clarence "Buddy" Joseph Basso, Jr., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at his home in Elko, Nev., at the age of 67.
Buddy was born March 28, 1947 in Livermore, Calif., to Clarence "Spooly" and Verna (Gomez) Basso.
Buddy is survived by his two sisters, Sharon (Niel) Haera and Susan (Dave) Cerini; wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" Basso; his five daughters, Tauni Basso, Kori Hardy, Codie Christenson, Cara Basso and Mikeala Basso; his 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Taryn, Makenna, Cashlen, Colt, Taylor, Kennedy, Reagan, Camden, and Jaycee; two great-grandchildren, Andrez and Lane.
He held a special place in the hearts of numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and other beloved family members. He attended May School in Livermore, Calif., and middle and high school in Lovelock.
Buddy was passionate about hunting and continuously looked forward to his next big adventure. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, trapping, fishing, shooting trap and skeet, gambling and watching bull riding in his free time.
A celebration of life luncheon with a "no host" bar will take place at 1 p.m. at Crazy Corners Saloon in Lovelock, Nev., on Dec. 13, 2014.[[In-content Ad]]
