City council to meet on Tuesday

WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca City Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 90 W. Fourth St.

Public and personal communications and correspondence follows the call to order, Pledge of Allegiance and correction and possible approval of the Sept. 6 meeting minutes and warrants.

Agenda items include a request to close Bridge Street between Railroad Street and Giroux Street for the annual Christmas Parade of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The council will also hear a request for a "No Truck Parking This Block" sign on Garrison Street between Winnemucca Boulevard and West Second Street. Also scheduled is possible determination that the old police department phone system and phones at the county courthouse are no longer required for public use and authorization to donate the phone system and phones to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office. Further, they will also discuss and possibly determine that old police department vehicle light bars and control boxes are no longer required for public use and grant authorization to donate the light bars and control boxes to the Humboldt County Rural Fire Department. Also scheduled is possible ratification of acceptance of an FAA grant for an airport paving maintenance project.
