The Winnemucca City Council will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. at city hall, 90 West Fourth St.
The meeting will include two proclamations by the city, one for Frontier Community Coalition Youth Award and another for National Public Lands Day.
The council will get a briefing on the 2012 fire season within the Winnemucca District Bureau of Land Management from BLM fire official Donovan Walker.
The council also will appoint Wayne E. Smith to Airport Board to fill remaining term of Lewis Trout (appointment expires June 30, 2015).
The city will take action on adopting updated cemetery rules and fees.
The council will take up a proposal for transfer of private property to the city in exchange for street improvements to Museum Lane. A representative from Schade Development will be present.
