City council meets Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m.

The Winnemucca City Council meets Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at City Hall. City officials will discuss and possibly take action on the following agenda items.



• Request by Humboldt County Chamber of Commerce to use city streets for a 3K and 5K Color Run on Saturday, Oct. 4

• Request by Winnemucca Alzheimer's Support Group to use city streets for a 3K, 5K and 8K Alzheimer's Awareness Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 27

• Retirement of K9 Duchess from Police Department and transfer of ownership to Officer Elizabeth Hill

• Recreation Complex project update

• A request to change the master plan designation from commercial to industrial for a property located east of US Highway 95 across from Ford New Holland

• A request to change a zoning designation from general commercial to industrial for a property located east of US Highway 95 across from Ford New Holland

• A request to change a master plan designation from commercial to medium high density residential to commercial for a 3.74 acre parcel located east of US Highway 95

• A request to change a zoning designation from single-family residential to general commercial for a 3.74 acre parcel located east of US Highway 95

• A determination whether municipal sewer is available for a property on Kluncy Canyon Road and authorization to install a septic system if municipal system is not available

• A request to abandon roadway and utility easement located near Great Basin Avenue
