City council meets Tuesday, May 7

WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca City Council will meet on Tuesday, May 7, at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 90 West Fourth St.

The council will discuss and possibly take action on items including: A Wildlife Awareness Week proclamation; a request to reduce side yard setback from five to zero feet at 235 East National Ave.; a request to change general commercial designation to public facility designation at 1078 East Winnemucca Blvd.

The council also will hear a request for temporary closure of Maple Avenue between Museum Lane and Modoc Drive on June 8-9 for the annual bluegrass festival.

Also on the agenda is a 2013 fire service mutual aid agreement; an acceptance of a 30-foot public right-of-way and public utility easement along the easterly boundary of the Lowry High School property for the extension of Great Basin Drive.[[In-content Ad]]
