Church plans 'trunk or treat' Halloween alternative

WINNEMUCCA - It's dark out there!

Instead of sending kids out into the cold dark night, Sonoma Baptist Church is having a Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween, Oct. 31, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Trunk-or-treat is an alternative to trick-or-treat. Instead of children going house to house, children collect sweets and surprises by going vehicle trunk to vehicle trunk in the church parking lot. Church members will have their vehicle trunks decorated with different themes, carnival, luau, fall, western, and more.

So bundle your costumed kids into the car and stop by Sonoma Baptist Church at 5970 Muddy Road (corner Muddy Road and Grass Valley Road) to see what all the fun is about.
