BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Once again, the Christmas Musical Fireside is being planned for December.
Sunday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. is the date for the fifth annual event, which will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Battle Mountain.
Local musicians perform a variety of Christmas music as well as the Ward Choir will again sing a cantata. This year's cantata is entitled "Joy to the World". After the program, the Cultural Hall is open for all to view a display of Nativities, to enjoy refreshments, and mingle socially. The community is invited to attend. Anyone wishing to participate by sharing their nativity set to view may contact Woodra Bullock. We also invite any local singers who would like to sing in a choir to join us practicing for the cantata.
