With the tremendous support of the families of students attending Christ Lutheran Preschool, members of the congregation of Christ Lutheran Church, and a grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, a generous Christmas Alert basket was delivered to a very appreciative family.
To fulfill the needs of the family, a Giving Tree was set up with more than 100 paper angels noting specific gift ideas as well as necessity items such as toothpaste and laundry detergent.
Preschool families and church members took angels off the tree and generously shopped for the family and also donated grocery gift cards, canned goods and other staples.
Due to the outstanding support of families of Christ Lutheran Church and Preschool, and the funding provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, this family enjoyed the many blessings of a caring community.
