WINNEMUCCA-The start to the State Farm Insurance Volleyball Classic on Friday has been adjusted with some movement in the respective pools.
The tournament will now begin at 11:30 a.m. with Battle Mountain playing Churchill County in the auxilary gym at the high school.
Elko and Whittell, who were scheduled in that time slot, will no play at 4:30 p.m.
Lowry High School will be in pool one and its four Friday matches have been pushed back 45 minutes from its originial schedule.
The Lady Bucks are in the same pool with Middleton, Idaho, Fernley, and Dayton.
On Friday the Lady Bucks will play Fernley at 12:45 p.m., Dayton at 3:15 p.m., Whittell at 4:30 p.m., and Middleton at 7 p.m. All of these matches will be played in the main gym of the high school.
Pool two consists of Whittell, Churchill County, Elko and Battle Mountain. One court will be used in the main gym and two courts will be utilized in the new gym.
The tournament will move to a double elimination format on Saturday and begin at 8 a.m.
The teams will be seeded on basis of their play in pool the day before. The best-of-5 championship match is tentatively set for 3:30 p.m. There will be no if match for the championship.[[In-content Ad]]
