Dorothy Mae Haines from Phoenix, Ariz., celebrated her 100th birthday at the Miles End Lodge in Kingston on Thursday, Aug. 1, with 16 people in attendance. Three were from Arizona, two from Pennsylvania, two from California and nine who live in Kingston. She also celebrated her birthday by attending the Kingston Days celebration Aug. 2 - 3, visited Lake Tahoe on Aug. 4 - 5, Virginia City on Aug. 6 and will be at Hot August Nights in Reno from Aug. 7 - 14. She lives with her daughter in Phoenix and will be staying at her son's place in Kingston. During her 100 years she has visited Australia, Canada, Mexico and 36 of the United States. When asked what she did during the last 100 years, she said, "Chasing men." One of her birthday cards contained $50 and when she opened it, she said, "Cha-ching, where's the slot machine?"[[In-content Ad]]
