Catheryn Olive Wilson Wirthlin Miller passed away Dec. 31, 2014, at Banner Churchill Hospital in Fallon, Nev. She was born June 4, 1931, in Wichita, Kan., to Marie Wilson and Alvin Duckett. Cathy was raised by her grandparents Guy Wilson and Hallie Clinkenbeard. She moved to Payette, Idaho, during her teen years. Cathy married Lawrence Wirthlin on Dec. 25, 1952, in Winnemucca, Nev. Together they had three sons - Steven, Larry and Dennis - and made their home in Winnemucca. Lawrence passed away on Dec. 30, 1984. Cathy later married Alvin Miller in 1986 and he passed away in January 1989.
Cathy was a manager of the Gem Snack Bar and Kreme Kone. She also worked at Mimi's Dress Shoppe and the Charme House until she retired some years ago. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Cathy was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, her son Steven, a grandson Scott Davis Wirthlin and great-grandson Paxton Charles Green. She is survived by her son Larry (Donna), son Dennis, grandchildren Chris (Desiree), Joshua (Billie), Jared, Stephanie (Robert), Elijah, Eric, Heather (Shawn), Aaron, Noel (Nathan), Staci (Jon) and Ali Rose. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
