Carolyn Kay Stump passed away at home on Sept. 9, 2012. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A true southern belle, Carolyn was born to Frank and Beulah Hand April 23 1934 in Springfield, Mo. Carolyn was married to Richard "Dick" Stump. They have lived in Winnemucca for the last 25 years. Carolyn has five children; Danny Cress of Denver, Colo., Douglas Thompson of Riverside, Calif., Linda Mandy of Covina, Calif., Kendra Gnemi of Carthrage, Miss., and Marla Aguilar of Winnemucca.
Carolyn has 9 grandchildren; Tina DuCharme, Shannon Blackhard, Francessca Siemson, Dallas Thompson, Nick Willis, Josh Willis, Scotty Aguilar, Brad Aguilar, and Breann Allen. Carolyn has 3 great grandchildren; Shane DuCharme, Isabella Nahai, and Christopher Castro. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Beulah Hand, daughter Candy Street, brother Cecil Hand, and sister Betty Garth.
Carolyn was the manager at the Winners Casino gift shop from 1989 until 2001. She was outgoing, funny and well liked by everyone she met and knew. The family will receive friends at a visitation service to be held Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Albertson Funeral Home.
