California Trail Interpretive Center announces Great Basin Native Market

Native American demonstrations, crafts, jewelry, baskets and more

ELKO - The California Trail Interpretive Center will celebrate traditional Native American history and culture with the Great Basin Native Market Oct. 31 through Nov. 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This family friendly event is free and open to everyone.

Learn about the history and traditions of Great Basin Native Americans through workshops and demonstrations. Enjoy Shoshone songs, native foods, and the traditional use of Nevada plants. The show features handmade traditional Shoshone, Paiute and Washoe crafts, collectibles, jewelry and much more for sale.
