Cake decorating contest returns in honor of Fair's 92nd birthday

WINNEMUCCA - Area bakers are invited to pull out all the stops this Labor Day weekend to participate in the second annual "Wilton Cake Decorating Contest."

The competition will debut on Friday, August 31, as part of the 92nd birthday celebration of the Tri-County Fair.

"We are looking for some really spectacular creations," said Tri-County Fair Chairman Darrel Field of the competition. "We went to see some very special cakes that commemorate more than nine decades of our Tri-County Fair."

Cakes can be any form, any flavor and can utilize any kind of decorations. They must not require refrigeration. For complete rules and pre-entry forms, please see the 2013 Fair Guide.
