The Lowry High School football team will be under the direction of a new, but familiar face when the Buckaroos hit the field this fall.
Taua Cabatbat was named the new coach of the Buckaroos last Friday and takes over for Tim Billingsley, who retired on Feb. 1.
Coach Cabatbat hales from Hawaii and is a graduate of St. Anthony High School. He continued his education and football career by attending Snow Junior College in Ephraim, Utah.
He graduated from the University of Western Montana with a degree in Special Education and Physical Education. Cabatbat has served as an assistant football coach for the previous 10 years and has been instrumental with helping the Buckaroos have one of the most successful runs in Lowry High School history.
Cabatbat has also coached basketball and track and field at Lowry.
