The Lowry High School wrestling team continued its winning ways, easily claiming the Douglas Lions Club Invitational crown this past Saturday in Minden.
The Buckaroos came away with 261.50 points, easily out-distancing McQueen, who was second with 167. Churchill County (112) was third and Douglas (96) and North Valleys (92) was fourth and fifth, respectively.
The Buckaroos had six champions on the day including Nathen Blanco at 113 pounds, Trase Bell (120) Gabe Molina (132), Nate Nelson (138), Beau Billingsley (182) and Luis Cardenas (285).
Molina and Billingsley were named outstanding wrestlers of the tournament.
Brian Day finished second at 106 pounds and Kevin Blanco was second at 126 pounds.
The Buckaroos travel to Spring Creek this weekend for the Kiwanis Invitational, which will include a strong field of teams from Idaho and southern Nevada.
