The Lowry High School freshmen, junior varsity and varsity football teams will host a scrimmage on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
Reno High School will make the trip to Winnemucca to take part in the scripted scrimmage. All three teams will take part and the scrimmage is expected to run for a couple of hours and is open for fans to watch.
Lowry's season opener is Thursday, Aug. 28, when it travels to Reno to face North Valleys in a non-conference match-up.
The freshmen game is slated for 4:30 p.m. with the varsity kicking off at 7 p.m. There is no JV game.
The Buckaroos are coming of a 10-2 season in which they advanced to the Division I-A state semifinals for the fourth season in a row. The 10-2 record tied for best in school history.[[In-content Ad]]
