RENO - University of Nevada head men's basketball coach David carter announced that center Chris Brown will play for the Wolf Pack this season.
Brown, from Houston, Texas, is a transfer and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining to play for the Wolf Pack.
"Chris gives us an inside presence," Carter said. "He has an opportunity to contribute immediately and gives us a true center."
The 6-11, 265-pound center began his collegiate career at Oregon State and played this past season at Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas.
Brown played in just six games for the Westerners because of injury but has been cleared to join the Pack for the 2013-14 season.
