Fuz Nance, age 79, passed away at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nev., of natural causes.
Fuz was born April 20, 1934, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Broadus F. Nance and Helen Malcom. After coming west, Fuz lived in Las Vegas, finally settling in Winnemucca over 25 years ago where he operated his equipment rental business.
Before coming to Nevada Fuz earned a degree in Electrical Engineering and served in the National Guard from 1948 to 1952.
Fuz was a member of the Baptist church, FPO (Fraternal Order of Police), IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), N.R.A. Life Member, Lions Club and Elks Club. In his off time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and social conversation.
Fuz is survived by his son Broadus "Fuzzy" Nance, Jr., his granddaughter Abigail Victoria Nance, his brother James M. Nance and close friends, Chris and Silvia Solis, Deandre, Viviana, Darian, and Josiah Solis.
Fuz was preceded in death by his parents Broadus and Helen Nance, his grandparents Brown and Eda Nance and James and Kudy Malcom.
