RENO - The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) Board of Control was informed this morning that Eddie Bonine, Executive Director for the last eight years, has been offered and has chosen to take the Executive Director position with the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA).
Bonine's contract with the NIAA requires that he provide the NIAA a 90 day notice of his intent to terminate.
Erin Cranor, President of the NIAA said, "Eddie has done a great job for student athletes and student leaders here in Nevada. The NIAA is in a good position to continue to support high school athletics and student leadership for students throughout our state. We understand this is a great opportunity for Eddie. We are sad to see him go, but we wish him the best."
