BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Battle Mountain High School Student Council will be holding a Blood Drive on Monday, Dec. 12, at the high school. The first donor will be taken at 10 a.m. and the last one at 4:30 p.m.

In addition, the BMHS Student Council is organizing the annual door-to-door non-perishable food drive for Monday, Dec. 5. Any BMHS student can participate in this activity. Students will be assigned different areas in Battle Mountain and they will go door-to-door from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. asking for donations of canned and/or non-perishable food items.
Last year they collected over 1,300 items and they are hoping to beat that this year. The food will be given to the local food bank to help families in the area.
