BMAP writing workshop and public reading by Gretchen Skivington rescheduled to Dec. 14

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Battle Mountain Arts Presenters (BMAP) writing workshop and public reading performance by Gretchen Skivington at the Battle Mountain Cookhouse Museum has been rescheduled to Dec. 14.

The writing workshop will take place from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. with the public reading at 6 p.m. The writing workshop will be free to local students, seniors and teachers.

The cost of the workshop is $10 to the general public. Similar workshops command fees that range from $50 - $200. Anyone attending the workshop will also be able to attend the public reading for free.

Those interested in attending the writing workshop must pre-register by 5 p.m., Nov. 29 but should not wait until the last minute because space is limited.

Participants will enjoy personalized instruction and an overview of the writing process from the inception of an idea to publication. Registration forms are available at the Great Basin College Battle Mountain Center at 835 N. 2nd St.
