Beulah Ben Robertson Davis

I Corinthians 15: 54, 57: “So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory’. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Beulah, 84, passed away peacefully and was called home to God’s kingdom on July 21, 2011, at Highland Manor in Elko. She was born on Oct. 26, 1926, to Eck and Janettabelle Robertson in Clarendon, TX.

Beulah attended Phillips High School in Phillips, TX (home of the Blackhawks). Her fondest memories of high school include being voted homecoming queen and playing the bass drum in the band. Upon graduating in 1946, Beulah trained as a nurse to further the war effort.

After a short courtship, Beulah married Doyle Melvin Davis of Amarillo, TX on July 4, 1949. In 1966, they moved from the Texas panhandle to Reese Valley in northern Nevada, where they settled into farming and ranching and raised six children. They were married forty-six years, until Doyle’s death in 1995. In her later years, Beulah enjoyed cooking, reading, old-time country music, and her dachshund Dixie.

Beulah is preceded in death by her husband Doyle Davis and her daughter Loretta Davis, as well as seven siblings. She is survived by her children: Debbie (Wayne) Eudey of Elko, Bonita Munoz of Winnemucca, Eddy Davis of Winnemucca, Jim (Robin) Davis of Tupelo, MS and Joe Davis of Elko, sisters: Donna Barnard of Albuquerque, NM, and Bobbie Henderson of Edmond, OK as well as eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Beulah’s enthusiastic flair for story-telling will always be cherished as well as the spiritual advice she gave to everyone that crossed her path. She was a blessing to her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A private family service will be held at the Battle Mountain Cemetery.
