Betty M. Bumgarner

Betty M. Bumgarner, 84, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Renown Hospital in Reno.

Betty was born March 19, 1927, in Missouri, where she grew up and attended school. June 22, 1945, she married Joseph F. Bumgarner and they moved to California where they lived the majority of the 54 years of marriage, until Joe's death in 1998. Betty moved to Winnemucca in 2000 to be with her family. Of greatest importance to Betty was her faith in Jehovah God and love of her family. She loved her family and friends in Winnemucca, Missouri, and California, and her family and friends loved her. Betty was an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed sharing her faith with others.

Betty is survived by her daughter Linda Blatzheim and husband Bill Blatzheim. Grandsons, Jason Blatzheim and wife Leila, Nathan Blatzheim and wife Alanna, and also five great-grandchildren. Sisters, Estelle Linder, Loretta Barton and Cindy Higgins, of Fordland, Mo. Brothers, Delmar Willis of Marshfield, Mo., and Bill Willis, of Fordland, Mo. Numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews in Missouri and California.

We all loved her and miss her.

Betty was proceeded in death by her parents Gayford and Alma Willis.

Beloved husband of 54 years, Joe Bumgarner, brothers Leoford and Glen Willis, and sisters Nola Barton, Roberta Mansker, June West, and Helen West, all of Missouri.

A memorial service for Betty will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 3464 N. Highland Dr, Winnemucca, NV. Reception to follow.[[In-content Ad]]
