Bernice "Bunny" Crowe, long-time Battle Mountain resident, passed away Friday, Jan. 16 at the age of 92. Bunny is survived by her two sons, Denny Crowe, Battle Mountain, and Bill Crowe, Palm Springs, Calif., two grandchildren, Krissy Mills, Idaho, and Todd Crowe, Elko, and three great-grandchildren, Bowden, Braxton and Bryce Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Crowe, and her son, Ronnie Crowe.
She taught herself to play the ukulele and harmonica as a child and provided the music for family gatherings where she and her sisters often sang in four part harmony.
Bunny will be remembered as an animal lover (especially cats). Taking care of her cats and the feral cats in the neighborhood, even paying for several to be spayed or neutered, helping to control the feral cat population was her passion.[[In-content Ad]]
