Benny Hansen, 68, of Winnemucca, Nev, passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2014 at his home.
Benny was born on March 1, 1945 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He served in the United Nation Forces in Cypress in 1973 before coming to the United States in 1976, when Benny and a friend opened a small Auto Repair Shop in Santa Rosa, Calif. He worked and lived in Santa Rosa until he moved to Winnemucca in 1993.
Benny loved to go scuba diving, ride motorcycles and most of all he loved long conversations about world matters with good friends.
Winnemucca is where Benny called home and continued his mechanical skills of both motorcycles and automobiles. He made so many friends this way that his customers usually got a better deal than he did when the job was done, but he got the opportunity to bend your ear and enjoy your company.
Benny is survived by his brother Poul and his wife Bente Larsen both of Denmark.
Benny leaves behind numerous friends near and far and will truly be missed.
A Celebration of Benny's Life will be held at a later date.
