Battle Mountain Raiders open youth football season with win over Carlin

BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Battle Mountain Raiders opened up its youth football season with a 19-0 win over Carlin this past Saturday in Battle Mountain.

The first touchdown and extra point of the game was made by Bradley Rogers in the first quarter. Carter Quintana, returned a punt for a touchdown in the quarter and Jacob Bard finished off the scoring in the fourth quarter. The Raiders' defense held the Railroaders to only 40 yards the entire game.

The Raiders roster is includes Kandise Baird, Thomas Baird, Jacob Bard, Oscar Barragan, Jorge Charivera, Roy Chavira, Jace Clark, Jonathon Garritson, Jose' Guizar, Jaeden Hill, John Holley, Blake Jauregi, Jake Legarza, Alan Martinez, Derly Martinez, Noah Nute, Carter Quintana, Mitchell Remington, Tyler Rochester, Bradley Rogers, Axel Smith, Jake Smith, Guyler Unger, Lyle Whitten, Head Coach Brian Bard, Assistant Coaches Monte Price, Howard Hill and Cody Unger.

The Raiders are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 11:30 a.m. in Elko.
