BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Battle Mountain Longbeards are hosting their 8th Annual Hunting Heritage Dinner and Auction on May 5 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Battle Mountain Civic Center.
There will be games and prizes for all ages, a great dinner, raffles and a live and silent auction featuring several prizes with the National Wild Turkey Federation logo.
This event offers a great evening of dinner and prizes as well as a one-year membership to the National Wild Turkey Federation for all that attend. With the membership guests receive a subscription to the NWTF publication "Turkey Country Magazine," including special sections "Women in the Outdoors" and "Wheelin' Sportsmen."
The Battle Mountain Longbeards are the Battle Mountain Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation which supports wildlife management on private and public property. The Longbeards donate turkeys to local families during the holidays. This organization is well known for their local affiliation working for the restoration and wise management of the American wild turkey and its habitat in the local area.
This banquet is a sold-out event every year. Local sportsmen and sportswomen attend and are very generous with their support at the live and silent auctions during the event. Last year's banquet was a record-breaking fundraiser for the Battle Mountain Longbeards.
