BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Battle Mountain Chamber of Commerce opened the doors of the Civic Center on Tuesday, April 23, for the first-ever Business After Hours Mixer.
The event was a good chance for members of the Chamber to mingle and get to know each other - as well as learn about the many advertising opportunities the Chamber has available.
Chamber Executive Director Paula Tomera and her staff are finalizing plans for the Chamber Drive In Summer Movie Series, which is set to begin May 17. The Chamber is selling movie sponsorship ads, 30-second ads and single images ads that will be displayed before the movies begin during the series.
In addition to Tomera's Chamber's table of information, Laura Schmidt, executive director of the Lander County Convention and Tourism Authority, also had a table with maps from the newly-completed Shoshone OHV Trail System. Schmidt says she is finalizing plans for a geocaching event, set for June 14 - 16, with more details on to be revealed soon.
The next Business After Hours mixer will be held on June 18 at Perdé Wine Bar, 254 N. 2nd Street, Battle Mountain, from 5 - 7 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
