Bargaining unit agreements on council agenda

WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca City Council will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 90 W. Fourth St.

The meeting begins with the call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, possible approval of the May 15 meeting minutes and the May 21 joint city-county meeting minutes and warrants.

The council will also issue a proclamation declaring June 2012 "Aviation Appreciation Month" in Nevada. Public and personal communication and correspondence follows.

Agenda items include renewal proposals and the premium payment from fiscal year 2012-13 funds for POOL-PACT.

A public hearing is set for 2:15 p.m. for rezone application RW-12-04. This is a request to change an R-3 (Multiple Family-Residential) to an N-C (Neighborhood-Commercial) zoning district for property located at 537 and 547 Baud Street (APNs 015-396-04 and 015-396-05/Marcuerquiaga).

The council will also consider an agreement to provide staff services for the Humboldt Development Authority, along with a request for waiver of connection fees to the city water system for the F & H Trailer Park.

Also scheduled is an update on city job descriptions and a bid award for the 2012 chip seal project. The council will also consider bargaining unit agreements for fiscal year 2012-13 for the Winnemucca Police Officers Association and Winnemucca City Employees Association. Other agenda items include exempt employee salaries-benefits for fiscal year 2011-2012, a fiscal year 2011-2012 city position and salary range schedule resolution and employee salary reclassification(s) requests.
