In honor of the Korean War's 60-year armistice anniversary on July 27, Mayor Di An Putnam (right) thanked local Korean War veterans for their service. "It's very important for you to know that Winnemucca does honor its citizens, and we are very proud of our service people and our veterans who've been in the war," she said. Several local Korean War veterans (left) were in attendance at the meeting and received standing applause as the mayor shook their hands.
