On April 19 at Lion's Park in Battle Mountain, the beautiful green grass became a great canvas splashed with all the colors of spring in the form of colored eggs and kids dressed up for Easter. The children, carrying baskets, eagerly awaited the whistle to blow telling them to gather as many eggs and prizes as they could.
Thanks to Alicia Price and many volunteers and contributors to the event the annual Easter egg hunt was once again a total success. The Easter Bunny showed up looking real sharp in his snow white angora coat. He mingled and had his picture taken several times with many of his fans.
Over the years the kids in Battle Mountain have gathered eggs in rain and snow, but this year the Easter Bunny and Mother Nature planned out the most perfect weather: nothing but sunshine! The day was perfect and a great job was done by Price and her volunteers.
