The American Legion Post No. 6 in Lovelock held its Fourth Annual Cow Patty Golf Tournament Sept. 28. Eight teams played the 18-hole course. The Nevada Soy team of Darin Bloyd, Brian Greene, Dan Hill and Fred Shindle took first place. The Duncan family team took second place. Bill Clingan won the closest to the pin contest and Barb Duncan won the woman's longest drive contest. The tournament is held each year to help raise money for the Sean Ward Memorial Scholarship, which has given out over $5,500 in scholarships to local graduates over the last four years.
