LOVELOCK - The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension in Pershing County will be offering an Agronomy/Pesticide CEU meeting at the Pershing County Community Center on Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. - 12 noon.
Topics to be discussed include the following: Best Drought Management Practices for 2013, presented by Steve Foster, UNCE Pershing County, Chemical Resistance Issues, presented by Harold Watters, Ohio State University Extension, Agronomy Specialist, Weeds to Watch for In Pershing County, presented by Joy Newton, UNCE IPM Coordinator, Pershing County Corn Test Plot Results, presented by Steve Foster, UNCE Pershing Co. and Harold Watters will give a special presentation on "Ukraine Agriculture, 20 years after Communism".
Participants are required to register prior to Dec. 5 by calling the Extension office at (775) 273-2923 or email Foster at fosters@unce.unr.edu. Pesticide applicators will receive 2.0 hours of general pesticide CEU credits towards renewal of the pesticide license.
