A big thank you to Mr. Wright and Alfred Cochran from the Lemaire Elementary School staff! They were asked to take the book cubby out of two of the school's older desks so Emily's wheelchair would fit under the desk. Now that she is entering sixth grade, she needs more desks as she will have different teachers for math, reading, science and social studies. When asked if he could do us a favor and help take the book cubby off, Mr. Wright went above and beyond expectations and created a longer and stronger desk with a new top that he painted and finished beautifully! School staff members said they appreciate all of the extra effort Mr. Wright and his student, Alfred Cochran, put into this project.
