WINNEMUCCA - 2013 Cattlemen's Update: Workshops are scheduled for the week of Jan. 7-11 with nearly statewide coverage provided for in one format or another. The Jan. 7 Monday morning workshop will be held in Reno and will also include compressed video links in the cooperative extension offices located in Logandale, Caliente, Tonopah, Lovelock, Eureka and Washoe County's extension office. This session begins at 10 a.m. with registration. The other meeting venues, during the weeklong trek across Nevada, include: Fallon, (multi-purpose building) Jan. 7 at 6 p.m.; Wellington, (community hall) Jan. 8 at 9:30 a.m.; Ely, (White Pine Convention Center) Jan. 9 at 5 p.m.; Elko, (Stockman's Hotel) Jan. 10 at 12:30 p.m.; Winnemucca (extension office) Jan. 11 at 10:30 a.m. The cost for the 2013 Cattlemen's Update remains at the $20 per-ranch registration fee, payable at the door.
