Public comment period open for Marigold Mining Company air permit

CARSON CITY, NV – The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection – Bureau of Air Pollution Control (BAPC) has entered the public notice period for the renewal of Class I Air Quality Operating Permit for Marigold Mining Company.

The public comment period is from May 29, 2023, through June 28, 2023.

The BAPC has reviewed the application and has made a preliminary determination to issue a renewed permit for the Marigold Facility, located in Humboldt County, approximately four miles South of I-80 at Valmy interchange (exit 216). Marigold is a gold mining facility and there will be no changes to the emissions for this action.

The proposed project will not cause or contribute to a violation of any federal or State of Nevada air quality standards.
