The Lowry High School volleyball team took on perennial power Truckee at home on Friday night.
The Wolverines swept the Lady Bucks 25-15, 25-11, and 25-18 on Pat Hart Court.
“The girls played really good tonight,” LHS volleyball coach Skylar Estes said. “They played exactly where I needed them to. Last year the first time we saw Truckee I think we played a combined ten points in all three sets. This was a good result for us. They have some good big outside hitters, and we were in the right positions, but I am really proud of how the girls played; they were awesome.”
Lowry, who dropped to 0-2 in the Northern 3A, hits the road this weekend.
The Lady Bucks travel to Dayton on Friday for a 6 p.m. start and South on Saturday at noon.
“Sierra (Maestrejuan) played a really good game switching everything up," Estes said. "Coming from a practice last night that may have been a little mentally rough for our girls. I was able to play all of the girls on my bench tonight, that was awesome to see how it flowed and I am excited for the rest of the season.”
