First Baptist Church: Wednesday night adult bible study begins at 6:00 pm. Free rides available just call 775-442-1054.



AA Meeting: The Three Legacies Group meets at 3205 N. Highland Ave. Coffee is at 6 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. The AA group is open to all.



Pershing County Chamber of Commerce: Fourth Wednesday, 5 p.m. — The Pershing County Chamber of Commerce meets at the Chamber office in Lovelock’s Historic Train Depot 1005 W. Broadway Ave. Contact Beth at 273-7213 for more information.

Airport Board: First Wednesday, 7 p.m. — The Airport Board meets in the commission chambers.



Planning Commission: First Wednesday, 7 p.m. — The Pershing County Regional Planning Commission meets at Lovelock City Hall, 400 14th St. Contact Planning and Building at 273-2700.

Pershing County Commissioners: First and third Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. — The Pershing County Commissioners meet in the commission chambers. Contact Karen Wesner at 273-2342.



Pershing County FSA COC: Second Wednesday, 1 p.m. — The Farm Service Agency’s County Office Committee holds their regular session meeting at the USDA Service Center located at 110 American Blvd. Call 273-2922, ext. 2, for more information.



Lovelock Eagles: Second and fourth Wednesdays, 7 p.m. — The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries #1557 meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 7 p.m. at the Eagles Hall. Men interested in helping the community are invited to attend.



Humboldt Masonic Lodge: Last Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. — Humboldt Masonic Lodge meets at our building at the corner of Western and Elmhurst. December meeting is the third Wednesday. All Masons are invited to attend.

Al-Anon Meetings: meetings are every Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the depot, 1005 West Broadway in Lovelock. All are welcome.

Lovelock Community Food Bank, is serving at the corner of 8th and Franklin starting at 3:30 p.m. and will close at the discretion of the Food Bank. Everyone can receive free bread and dairy products, but a voucher will be needed in order to receive food. This can be obtained at the county clerk’s office. Lovelock Speedway meeting: April — October, general meetings are held the Wednesday prior to each scheduled race. Lovelock Speedway is seeking volunteers for various positions. Free Sewing Classes for Kids: Each Friday — Classes will be held at the Community Center across from the hospital. Fridays, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Free sewing and craft classes for kids ages 7 and up. NA Saturday Night Live: Narcotics Anonymous “Saturday Night Live” group meets at the Pershing County Community Center each Saturday from 7 p.m. — 8 p.m. For more information call (775) 427-3727.

New Life Fellowship Assembly of God: The church is located at 12th and Elmhurst Street. Sunday morning services start at 10:30 a.m. We do have children’s church during the service.



First Baptist Church: The church is located at 900 Western Ave., Lovelock. Are you tired? Are you overburdened by life’s struggles? Jesus says come to me and I will give you rest. Grace-St. Francis Community Church: Come and join our church family. Grace St. Francis Community Church, is a United Methodist and Episcopal Fellowship, meets weekly at 805 Cornell Avenue at 8th Street. We invite you to join us for our Sunday service at 10 am. When children are in attendance, we offer Sunday School at 10:15 am. We have Bible study at 9 am. Every 3rd Sunday we have a potluck lunch following the worship service. Our pastors; Fr. Mike Northrup is here on the 2nd and 4th Sundays and Tony Albiston will be with us on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. They will alternately fill any 5th Sunday in the month.

Pershing County Learning Center, is offering free classes to earn a high school equivalency certificate, an adult high school diploma, vocational certificates, and many courses of interest. Also, offering college courses through Great Basin College. Call or stop by if interested. Pershing County museum, opens from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday. Everyone is encouraged to visit the many interesting displays that give a glimpse into the history of the Valley.



Pershing County Senior Center, is in need of volunteers. We are looking for more high energy volunteers who can work at least once a week for a few hours. If you are interested in helping others, and have free time once a week during lunch, or have to do some volunteer hours for work, we would love to have you! Please come by the Center any time between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm or call 273-2291 and talk to Stephanie Wenzel.



Pershing County Resource Center, is now open. It is located at the Pershing County Community Center, Star Room, 820 6thStreet, Lovelock, NV 89419. The center has 4 computers for free use by persons ages 17 and older for business, job, and educational purposes. The Star Room is also used as a classroom, so a calendar of availability can be found at www.pershingcounty.net. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. Call 273-7144 for more information.



Animal Rescue Group: If you are concerned about the welfare and the control of stray dogs and cats in and around the city of Lovelock, please call Dan at 273-0785 or email schardine@sbcglobal.net



Pershing General Hospital Nursing Home, is in need of volunteers to spend time with nursing home residents, one on one visits and group activities. We also need donations of dollar store items for our Bingo Store. They win gold coins during bingo and bi monthly we set up a bingo store in the facility and let them shop. Church of the Good Shepherd Food Bank: currently has donated food available for those in need. Pastor D.W. Hutson asks that you call ahead to pick up the items from the church, located at 16500 state Route 400 in Unionville. The church accepts food and clothing donations to give away to those in need. Daily Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, are held at St. John the Baptist Church on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the Father Vieages Room in the Annex.
