Oct. 12

Amos Daniel Holt-Davis pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor and being a minor in consumption of alcohol. He was fined $1,000 + $140 AA for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and fined an additional $250 + $105 AA for minor in consumption of alcohol.

The defendant was given $300 credit for three days served in jail. His balance of $1,145 in fines may be converted to community service of 114 hours. He is to contact Job Opportunities in Nevada (JOIN) for assistance in getting a job. 



Oct. 19

Kriston Joseph Carter pleaded guilty to injury to or destruction of property. He was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for six days time already served, The defendant was further ordered to pay $300 in restitution.



Sheila La Dawn Hughes pleaded guilty to public intoxication. She was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for seven days served. 



Sarah Marie Heitman pleaded guilty to DUI. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for two year on condition she serve two days. Heitman was given credit for two days jail time served. She was fined $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee. The defendant was ordered to complete DUI school, as well as a Victim Impact Panel. She is to have an alcohol evaluation, follow its recommendations and attend outpatient counseling with monthly reports to the court. A mental health evaluation was also ordered. No alcohol, no presence in any establishment where alcohol is a major profit center, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. She is to be subject to random search and seizure by law enforcement or counselor. An additional charge of lane violation was dismissed. 



Oct. 20

Karina Lynn Ellifritz pleaded no contest to petit larceny. She was fined $500 + $140 AA. She was also sentenced to 10 days in jail, suspended on condition that restitution of $29.87 is paid as well as the fines and fees imposed by the court and she has no other problems with the law beyond minor traffic violations. She was also ordered not to enter the Winnemucca Walmart until advised that she is welcome there.



 Oct. 23

Steven Daniel Vasquez pleaded guilty to traffic charges. He was fined $270 + $105 AA for speeding 21-30 miles per hour over the limit. He was fined $500 + $140 AA for failing to stop on signal of a peace officer. He was fined $100 + $95 AA for driving without a valid driver’s license. Defendant was given $50 credit for 12 hours served in jail. The judge suspended payment of $500 for period of six months on condition he have no further problems with the law other than minor traffic violations.
