Free Summer Lunches: Sponsored by the Frontier Community Action Agency. Lunches will be served at the Vesco City Park in Winnemucca, Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. This program is open to all children, 18 and younger, NO ENROLLMENT, NO COST!

Backpack Giveaway: New Life Fellowship is hosting their Backpack Program beginning 11 a.m. at Courthouse Park. There will be backpack supplies, lunch, and extra goodies.

Clean Up Day: Twist and Turn Rodeo Production Company (TNT), a non profit organization plans a Clean Up Day at the Lovelock Fairgrounds. The Clean Up Day will begin at 8 a.m. Volunteers are needed, as well as supplies including paint brushes, power washers, hammers, screws, saws and boards. Eclipse Party: The Pershing County Library is hosting an Eclipse Party beginning at 9 a.m. The library will provide special viewing glasses for people to watch the eclipse. The library will be serving space-themed refreshments. The library also holds a craft class craft every Friday where kids will make space themed art projects for display in the library. No admission charged!
