Diabetes Support Group discussion to focus on exercise

Group meets Wednesday at HGH

WINNEMUCCA, Nev.—Humboldt General Hospital’s Diabetes Support Group will discuss how to get moving and stay healthy this Wednesday.

The group will meet from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, in the hospital’s Sonoma conference room; Sarah Low, a N.A.S.M. certified personal trainer will lead the evening’s discussion.

Diabetics, pre-diabetics, caregivers and those who are interested in preventing diabetes are invited to attend.

Humboldt General Hospital Nutrition Services Director Tiffani Nalivka said now is a great time to focus on moving more and staying healthy—whether the outdoors accommodate an increase in activity, or whether inclement skies keep the activity indoors.

“Sarah will show us how to stay active regardless of what the weather chooses to do outside,” said Nalivka.

The Diabetes Support Group is open to people of all ages; there is no charge to attend.
